- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
- Develop, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
- Perform condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermography on rotating and static equipment.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Diagnose mechanical failures, breakdowns, and malfunctions quickly to minimize downtime.
- Repair or replace defective components, bearings, seals, pumps, compressors, and gearboxes according to manufacturer specifications.
- Oversee major plant overhauls and shutdown or turnaround activities.
- Reliability & Continuous Improvement:
- Implement reliability engineering methodologies such as Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Identify "bad actor" equipment and recommend design modifications, material upgrades, or process changes.
- Safety, Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, local statutory regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate statutory inspections for pressure vessels, lifting devices, and steam systems.
- Maintain accurate logs, work orders, and asset histories using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Inventory & Team Coordination:
- Manage spare parts inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate orders for critical components.
- Supervise and mentor mechanical technicians and coordinate work scopes with external contractors
