Position Overview
The Senior Expert Maintenance leads and oversees all mechanical maintenance activities across the mill to ensure equipment reliability, operational continuity, and long-term asset performance. This role functions as the primary mechanical authority, driving engineering excellence, maintenance strategies, and team capability development.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for all major mill mechanical assets (Fiberline, Paper Machine, Utilities, Recovery, Power Plant).
• Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA), implement engineering improvements, and drive reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs.
• Plan and manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, contractor usage, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Oversee shutdown/turnaround planning and execution to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality delivery.
• Review technical specifications, mechanical upgrades, and engineering design proposals.
• Monitor mechanical integrity and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and sustainability standards (ISO, EMS, SMK3, MBOS).
• Work closely with operations, production, and engineering departments to align maintenance strategies with mill performance targets.
• Lead, coach, and develop the mechanical team, ensuring strong technical competence and performance culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 20 years mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or pulp & paper.
• Strong expertise in rotating/static equipment, piping systems, boilers, turbines, hydraulics, and utilities.
• Proven leadership experience at Head or Senior Expert level with solid team development capability.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional coordination.
• Willing to work on-site in Karawang.
