Expert, Turbine Generator

Job Description

* Provide technical expertise for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of steam turbine generators.
* Diagnose turbine-generator issues involving vibration, bearings, lubrication, steam systems, controls, and electrical/mechanical components.
* Lead and supervise preventive maintenance, inspection, overhaul, shutdown, and start-up activities.
* Analyze operating parameters and recommend improvements to increase turbine efficiency, reliability, and availability.
* Support root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and recurring operational problems.
* Ensure all turbine-generator activities comply with safety standards, SOPs, and plant requirements.
* Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to operation and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power/Energy Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum 8–10 years of experience with steam turbine generators, preferably in power plants, pulp & paper, or heavy industry.
* Strong knowledge of turbine operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, vibration analysis, alignment, and overhaul.
* Experienced in turbine-generator commissioning, start-up/shutdown, and performance evaluation.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
* Willing to work on-site in Karawang, West Java.
