Expert Recausticizing

Position Overview

The Expert Recausticizing provides technical expertise in the operation and optimization of the recausticizing plant within the Recovery Boiler Division. This role ensures efficient chemical recovery, stable white liquor quality, and reliable operation of the lime cycle to support pulp production.

Key Responsibilities
    •    Monitor and optimize recausticizing processes including green liquor clarification, slaking, causticizing, and lime mud handling.
    •    Maintain high causticizing efficiency and consistent white liquor quality.
    •    Analyze process data and troubleshoot operational issues related to liquor chemistry and lime cycle performance.
    •    Ensure proper chemical balance between the recovery boiler, recausticizing plant, and pulp mill operations.
    •    Support reliability and maintenance of key equipment such as slakers, clarifiers, lime mud filters, and pumps.
    •    Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
    •    Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
    •    Provide technical guidance and training to operations personnel.

Qualifications
    •    Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Technology, or related field.
    •    Minimum 10 years of experience in pulp and paper mill operations, particularly in chemical recovery or recausticizing processes.
    •    Strong knowledge of liquor chemistry, lime cycle management, and recovery operations.
    •    Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
