Position Summary
The Expert Instrument (Hydraulic) is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of hydraulic and instrumentation systems by providing technical expertise in maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement activities to support safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and maintain hydraulic and instrumentation systems to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
* Analyze equipment performance and identify opportunities for system improvement and optimization.
* Troubleshoot hydraulic and instrument-related issues and implement effective corrective actions.
* Develop and review preventive and predictive maintenance programs for hydraulic equipment and control systems.
* Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance teams during inspection, repair, and commissioning activities.
* Evaluate equipment failures and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.
* Ensure maintenance activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support plant maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, and system performance evaluations.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and hydraulic maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, control systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial instrumentation.
* Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and equipment reliability improvement.
* Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
* Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Willing to be based at Indah Kiat Perawang.
