Position Summary

The Expert Supply Material is responsible for ensuring the availability of production materials, spare parts, chemicals, and other operational supplies required to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role oversees material planning, inventory optimization, supplier coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and supply continuity while complying with company policies and safety standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and monitor material requirement plans based on production forecasts and operational demand.
* Ensure timely procurement and availability of raw materials, consumables, chemicals, packaging materials, and maintenance spare parts.
* Optimize inventory levels by balancing service level, working capital, and warehouse capacity.
* Analyze inventory movement, slow-moving, obsolete, and critical materials, and recommend corrective actions.
* Coordinate closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, Procurement, and Logistics departments to ensure material readiness.
* Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and material quality to ensure consistent supply reliability.
* Support supplier evaluation, sourcing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Conduct material consumption analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and inventory optimization.
* Review and validate material specifications, BOM (Bill of Materials), and master data accuracy within ERP systems.
* Monitor inventory KPIs including stock accuracy, inventory turnover, stock availability, and service levels.
* Lead initiatives to improve material planning processes, warehouse efficiency, and supply chain performance.
* Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures, internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulations.
* Prepare periodic inventory and material management reports for management review.
* Support annual budgeting, inventory forecasting, and strategic material planning.
* Participate in cross-functional projects related to supply chain digitalization, ERP enhancement, and operational excellence.

 

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 8–10 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, procurement, supply chain, or warehouse management within manufacturing industries.
* Experience in pulp & paper, FMCG, chemicals, heavy manufacturing, or process industries is highly preferred.
* Strong understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP), inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply chain management.
* Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
* Excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
* Good negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and supply chain analytics.
* Good command of English, both written and spoken.
