(TK) Operator, WWT (27641)

Job Responsibilities:

• • Conduct regular inspections of pumps, valves, filters, clarifiers, chlorinators, and other equipment.
  • Use SCADA systems and manual readings to track flow rates, pressures, chemical feeds, and tank levels.
  • Collect water samples at various stages of treatment.
  • Perform chemical and biological tests (e.g., pH, turbidity, chlorine residual, hardness, alkalinity).
  • Regulate chemical feed rates and flow rates based on test results.
  • Ensure compliance with water quality standards.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment.
  • Assist in major maintenance and repairs when required.
  • Maintain accurate logs of plant operations, test results, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare reports for regulatory compliance.
  • Follow all safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental and health regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of plant and grounds.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies promptly.

Requirements:

• • Knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment.
  • Ability to perform laboratory tests and interpret results.
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and automated controls.
