Key Responsibilities
    •    Lead and optimize end-to-end fiberline operations, including wood preparation, cooking, washing, oxygen delignification, screening, and bleaching stages.
    •    Analyze daily production performance and implement process modifications to improve yield, chemical consumption, energy efficiency, and overall pulp quality.
    •    Drive troubleshooting efforts for process upsets, equipment issues, and quality deviations.
    •    Lead improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, RCA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
    •    Coordinate closely with Production, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to ensure product consistency and operational stability.
    •    Oversee the application and calibration of advanced process control (APC) systems and digital monitoring tools.
    •    Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and sustainability standards across all fiberline operations.
    •    Mentor and upskill junior engineers and supervisors in fiberline best practices.
    •    Prepare technical reports, operational forecasts, and performance dashboards for senior leadership.

 

Qualifications & Requirements
    •    Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Technology, or related field. Master’s degree is an advantage.
    •    Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in fiberline or pulp production within a large industrial mill.
    •    Strong understanding of:
    •    Kraft pulping process
    •    Bleaching chemistry (ECF/TCF)
    •    Chemical recovery integration
    •    Pulp quality parameters and testing
    •    Demonstrated success in process optimization projects delivering measurable improvements.
    •    Familiarity with DCS/PLC systems, APC, and mill digitalization tools.
    •    Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
    •    Strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational discipline.
