Position Summary

The Expert Instrumentation Project is responsible for leading all instrumentation and control (I&C) engineering activities, ensuring proper design, installation, integration, and commissioning of control systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

 

Key Responsibilities
    •    Lead instrumentation and control scope for the paper project (DCS, PLC, field instruments, analyzers)
    •    Review and approve control system architecture, instrument specifications, and vendor deliverables
    •    Oversee installation, loop checking, calibration, and commissioning activities
    •    Ensure integration of instrumentation systems with process, electrical, and mechanical components
    •    Troubleshoot control system issues during commissioning and start-up
    •    Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and automation suppliers (e.g., DCS providers)
    •    Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and international standards
    •    Support smooth handover to operations and maintenance teams

 

Requirements
    •    Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering
    •    Minimum 10–15 years of experience in industrial projects (pulp & paper preferred)
    •    Strong expertise in DCS/PLC systems, field instrumentation, and process control
    •    Proven experience in commissioning and start-up of large-scale plants
    •    Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills
