Automation Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for leading and optimizing automation systems for paper machine operations to ensure high reliability, stable quality, and maximum production efficiency. Acts as technical authority for DCS, PLC, QCS, and drive systems.

Key Responsibilities
    •    Optimize DCS, PLC, and QCS performance across paper machine sections.
    •    Troubleshoot complex automation and control issues to minimize downtime.
    •    Lead automation upgrade and modernization projects.
    •    Improve OEE, reduce machine breaks, and stabilize quality parameters.
    •    Mentor engineers and ensure proper system documentation.

Qualifications
    •    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Automation Engineering.
    •    10+ years experience in pulp & paper automation.
    •    Strong expertise in DCS (ABB/Honeywell/Valmet), PLC (Siemens/Rockwell), QCS, and drives.
    •    Experience in high-speed paper machine environment preferred.
